MY Sound 7 | Results

The seventh edition of MY Sound for Ourvision Song Contest (OVSC) 16 has come to an end. And we have a winner! The winning song will represent Malaysia in 15th edition of OVSC.

The winning song won with 17.69% votes. The song is 'Prom Queen' by Bunkface. The song was submitted by OKSongContest. 'Prom Queen' won with the same number of points and same number of percentage of votes with the last winner 'Kasanova'. Bunkface, who represented Malaysia with 'Through My Window' and managed to get fourth place in the final of OVSC 4 and winning the first semi-final of OVSC 4 will be representing Malaysia for the second time. Bunkface will be the first band and third artist after Alyah and Stacy to represent Malaysia twice in OVSC. Bunkface won their first edition of MY Sound after getting third place in their last two attempts with 'Situasi' in MY Sound 4 and 'You and I' in MY Sound 5. The song gets the highest number of 12 points. Besides, 'Prom Queen' will be the first song to represent Malaysia in the second decade of OVSC. For your information, 'Prom Queen' won this edition with the lowest points (104 points) since the introduction of the voting system (12, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2 points) in MY Sound 2 besides 'Kasanova'. This happened because the voting only open for five days instead of 6 days because of some problems. The margin of points between the first and the second place is the lowest in MY Sound history to date, which is 6 points only. Thanks to lazarkoo or the host of OK Song Contest for submitting another fantastic song from Bunkface! I hope this song will get first place in OVSC and bring OVSC 17 to Kuala Lumpur. Thanks for your support in the last seven editions  of MY Sound. MY Sound 8 will be held for OVSC 20.
